Background and Identification
The Micro H2 Meter model 044-11 was released in 1998 and is a handheld device used to monitor and diagnose the amount of lactose malabsorption in the bloodstream, bacterial overgrowth, and measurements of intestinal transit time in adults and children’s.
The Micro H2 Meter is equipped with a user-friendly display reading of Hydrogen unit levels in parts per million(ppm) and supplied with different configuration mouthpiece adapters, mask adapters, and disposable cardboard mouth adapters. The Micro H2 Meter is power by a 9V single Alkaline battery and is equipped with connections for Hydrogen sensor calibrations.
Note: It is important to service and calibrate the Micro H2 Meter to sustain the accurate measurement of the device and the sustainable life of the device.
The Micro H2 device has a built-in feature to alarm users for sensor drift and will require calibration. Only remove the battery if the device is not being used for 3-months or needs replacing. If the battery has been removed, a recalibration is required. The manufacture recommends a 2-year H2 sensor replacement and for any other serving needed to contact an authorized distributor or support@micromedical.com.uk.
To use, simply exhale slowly into the Micro H2 Meter mouthpiece and measurement will display. For young children who cannot meet the requirements, an optional gas sampling system is available.
