Background and Identification

Every year Carbon Monoxide (CO) inhalation is responsible for many illnesses and deaths. CO is an odorless and colorless gas and is often referred to as a silent killer. The most common symptoms of CO poisoning are headache, dizziness, weakness, nausea, vomiting, chest pain, and confusion.

The MicroMedical CO Meter effectively and quickly monitors a patient’s breath carbon monoxide levels associated with smoking.

It is a lightweight device that is easy to use while providing accurate results for breath testing in a short amount of time. Other features are 1ppm resolution, immediate display of CO levels in PPM and %COHb (Carboxyhemoglobin), color light indicators, and the ability to interface with the Windows-based software package, COBRA, for performing and storing real-time breath tests on your personal computer.
