Background
The Makita Jack Hammer HM1500B, also known as the Makita Demolition Hammer HM1500B, is a demolition tool made by the company Makita. The tool was released in 2013, adding another piece to Makita's reputation of creating high-performance cordless tools. Although no longer sold on the Makita website, the device is still available through other online vendors.
The tool is used for all sorts of demolition, including but not limited to wall demolition. It is suitable for large scale construction projects or just a craftsman with a simple job. It accepts 1-1/8" hex shank and air tool bits. For its comparably small size, the cordless power tool provides sufficient power for most any project.
Features of the Makita Jack Hammer HM1500B include a 13.5 amp motor, a pneumatic compression system which adjusts the air in the cylinder to minimize power loss, an idling mechanism which prevents idle hammering, a shock absorbing side handle, and an automatic brush cut-out system.
Identification
The Makita Jack Hammer HM1500B has a rectangular frame featuring the Makita logo on the side. There is a tall handle coming off one side and a long barrel coming off the other side. At the top of this barrel is a handle and at the end is a black tip which accepts the hex shank bits. The model number and serial number can be found on page 15 of the instruction manual that came with the device.
