Background and Identification

The M205 is an optical mouse designed by Logitech that uses a USB wireless receiver to connect to your computer. The mouse is powered with a single AA battery which can be accessed by pressing a button on the underside of the mouse and removing the top panel. An LED below the scroll wheel lights up when the mouse is turned on and blinks red when the battery is low.

The USB dongle can attach to the back of the mouse when you’re on the move. You can turn the mouse on and off using the power switch on the bottom of the device, and attaching/removing the receiver automatically flips the switch for you. Handy! After downloading the software from the Logitech Support page, you can customize the tracking speed and change the function of the scroll wheel button.

The M205 is black with a gray band around the edges. According to the Amazon UK page, this model weighs 200g and comes with an included battery out of the box. To identify the model, just flip the mouse over. “M205“ should be printed on the bottom for your convenience.
