Background and Identification
The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga (3rd Gen) is a 1st generation 2-in-1 laptop that is characterized by its ability to fold out 360 degrees to be used as a tablet. It has a 14” touchscreen and stylus pen that is stored in a slot on the right side of the keyboard.
The laptop is a black matte casing and weighs about 3 lbs. At the bottom right corner of the screen, it says “X1 Yoga". It is equipped with a fingerprint reader directly below the arrow keys on the right palm rest and a 720p camera. It has the following ports: microSD card reader and Nano Sim slot at the rear, 2 USB 3.0 ports (one on either side), 2 USB-C ports on the left side, and an HDMI port, headphone jack, and mini Ethernet port on the right side.
The keyboard is a rise-and-fall keyboard when switching between modes, a feature unique to this generation and the previous 2nd Gen (removed with the 4th Gen).
The chassis is matte black plastic in keeping with the previous generations, but the 4th Gen and 5th Gen have an aluminum chassis.
