Background and Identification
Lenovo Tablets are made by Lenovo Group Limited, a Beijing based, Chinese technology company. They acquired IBM’s ThinkPad tablet line in 2005. They sold their smartphone and tablet division in 2008 and then bought it back in 2009 for $200,000,000—double what they sold it for. And by 2015, they were number 3 in the world for tablets.
They operate on the Android platform. Some of the most popular series of Lenovo tablets include the Yoga, X series, IdeaPad and ThinkPad, similar to their laptop series.
The Verge wrote about a couple of Lenovo’s 2020 releases, the Yoga Duet 7i and IdeaPad Duet 3i. Both are two-in-one devices which means that they have a detachable keyboard and operate on Windows. They support LTE and Bluetooth. The Yoga Duet 7i, features up to a 10th Gen i7 Intel Core CPU, an Intel Iris Plus GPU, an infrared camera which allows facial logins, a 13-inch IPS 2K touchscreen display, an estimated 10.8 hours of battery life, and it weighs 2.55 pounds. The Yoga Duet 7i is a more high end tablet while the IdeaPad Duet 3i is a more budget friendly option. Both feature kickstands on the back of the device.
