Background and Identification

A hysteroscope is a lighted medical device that assesses a patient’s uterine cavity through the cervix while displaying the images from the scope on a screen. A hysteroscope can be used to diagnose uterine issues, including the cause for abnormal uterine bleeding. A hysteroscope can also be used in operative settings for procedure such as the removal of polyps or the removal of adhesions related to Asherman’s syndrome.
