Background

The Hamilton-C1 was released to the public in 2018 (Model number: 161001) and the equipment must be operated only by trained professionals.

It is best known for many capabilities that include but are not limited to high flow oxygen therapy, invasive and noninvasive modes of ventilation, maximum mobility and 4+ hours of battery life while being very compact and convenient for transportation. The Hamilton-C1’s high-capacity battery and independence from compressed air means it is able to ventilate patients during intrahospital transport without need for an external power source. The Hamilton-C1 also has a user interface that is similar to other Hamilton ventilators, making operations easier as the same principles apply.

Some features attributed to the Hamilton-C1:

  • Adaptive, lung-protective ventilation with Adaptive Support Ventilation (ASV)
  • High-performance noninvasive ventilation (NIV)
  • Integrated high flow oxygen therapy
  • Speaking valve

For more information about Hamilton-C1’s features and capabilities, please view their product brochure.

The Hamilton-C1 is available in both Europe and the United States. Hamilton Medical also manufactures a wide range of other ventilators such as the Hamilton-G5 which is designed for critically ill patients in ICU settings, or the Hamilton-T1 which is approved for ambulance, helicopter and airplanes. In comparison to those, the Hamilton-C1 is much more compact and suitable for adult, pediatric and neonatal ventilation, making it a viable option for hospital use.
