Background and Identification
The Ground Hog T-4 - 18" is a mechanical chain trencher. Trenchers vary in size and power depending on the size and type of the surface that is being dug out. They are used to dig trenches for many different uses, such as pipe or cable laying and drainage channels. Chain trenchers use a blade similar to a chainsaw to cut narrow, deep trenches with a series of teeth that hook into the ground and pull the material out and away from the trench.
This machine advertises easy to use controls and accurate trenching that allows the user to work close to walls and fences. It is operator propelled, which means that the user can turn the tall handle on the back to control the direction of the trench.
