Background and Identification
The Mini-Rooter model MR-CO is a drain cleaner made by General Pipe Cleaners. It includes 50 feet of 1/2-inch Flexicore cable or 75 feet of 3/8-inch Flexicore cable. It can clear most drain lines between 1-1/4-inches and 4-inches in diameter. The drain cleaner also comes with a Mini-Rooter Cutting Set (MRCS) that includes an arrowhead cutter, a 1-1/2-inch U cutter, a 2-inch side cutter blade, and a boring gimlet.
The Mini-Rooter model MR-CO includes a 0.33-horsepower motor. The motor features a momentary contact reverse switch for thermal overload protection. This feature prevents the operator from running the drain cleaner in reverse for more than a few seconds. The Mini-Rooter model MR-CO includes an air foot switch, a ground fault circuit interruption, and a safety slip clutch. The safety slip clutch reduces cable tangling and allows the V-belt to slip through the pulley system until excessive torque is reduced.
Mini-Rooter model MR-CO features an inner drum and distributor tube spring that is designed to prevent cable tangling. It also has a removable cage that allows for portability and switching cables. An optional power cable feed can drive and retrieve the cable.
The Mini-Rooter model MR-CO has an orange frame and a black motor cover. The cable-holding drum is silver in color. An optional dolly can snap onto the machine’s frame for portability. The machine weighs 60 pounds without the additional dolly.
