Background
This model was introduced in 2020. The handles were updated to increase the balance of the machine, and reduce operator fatigue. The transmission features oversized bearings, heat-treated shafts and machine-cut gears to maximize lifespan.
This unit has a tendency to leak oil out of the transmission relief valve. The manufacturer doesn't want to acknowledge the issue and states:
"With the correct level, it is impossible for the oil to increase its volume to the point where it is can be forced out of the vent plug. In thousands of hours of testing, the oil has never been forced out of the vent plug with the correct level. The vent plug is intended to open with a 2 PSI differential and has been in use for over 30 years. "
In reality, all it takes is for the user to tilt the digger toward the relief valve while it's in use. The oil in the transmission will flow close enough to the relief valve to start leaking.
Identification
The model 332H348H hole digger requires two people to operate. It can be used for general at home landscaping, soil sampling, and other construction applications. The auger is painted orange, while the motor and handles are painted black. The identification information is located on a decal on the motor housing.
