Background and Identification

The Samsung Galaxy A71 is an Android smartphone manufactured by Samsung Electronics as part of the Galaxy A series. The A71 was released in January 2020 with model numbers SM-A715F/DS, SM-A715F/DSN (Global), and SM-A715F/DSM (Russia). The A71 smartphone replaced the Galaxy A70 and includes an improved camera, a newer operating system, and runs on the Android 10 operating system.

The Galaxy A71 was released in black, silver, blue, and pink body colors. The A71 features a 6.7-inch scratch-resistant display with a resolution of 1080 by 2400 pixels. The phone has a plastic back, and a plastic frame. It was available with either a single Nano-SIM card or Dual SIM capabilities where one Nano-SIM is in use while the other is in standby. The A71 was available with 128 GB of internal storage and either 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM.

The Galaxy A71 features a quad camera with a 64-megapixel wide lens, a 12-megapixel ultra wide lens, a 5-megapixel macro lens, and a 5-megapixel depth lens. It includes a single 32-megapixel front-facing camera. The phone also includes a 4500 mAh non-removable battery, meaning the battery’s adhesive is permanent, making repair and replacement difficult, but not necessarily impossible.

The Samsung Galaxy A71 smartphone includes the name “Samsung” in capital letters in the center of the lower portion of the phone’s backing. The quad main cameras are located in the top left-hand corner of the device’s backing.
