Background

The Filco Majestouch 2 is a full-size keyboard developed and produced by Diatec. Filco is the brand name of a line of computer accessories made by Diatec, a Japanese company. Filco Majestouch keyboards are mostly sold in Japan, Korea, and Taiwan. Filco keyboards were sold in the United States through EliteKeyboards, an online retailer, until November 2010. In Europe, Filco keyboards were sold through The Keyboard Company.

The Filco Majestouch 2 includes the ANSI (American National Standards Institute) physical layout, which features a wide, rectangular ‘enter’ key, a ‘backslash’ key sitting above the ‘Enter’ key, same-sized left and right ‘shift’ keys, same-sized left and right ‘Alt’ keys. The Filco Majestouch 2 is sold in either tenkeyless models or full-size models. Tenkeyless keyboards include 87 keys rather than the 104 keys for full-size keyboards. The keyboard is sold with a 60-inch cord.

The Filco Majestouch 2 includes the name “Filco” printed in metallic letters on the side of the keyboard underneath the directional keys in the lower right-hand corner of the device. For full-sized keyboard models, the name “Filco” is printed in metallic letters in the upper right-hand corner of the keyboard. The keyboard includes a USB interface and is Windows compatible. The Filco Majestouch 2 is mainly black with white legends.
