The ECHO Bed Redefiner BRD-280 includes a 28.1 cubic centimeter professional-grade, two-stroke engine. The machine’s engine produces less than one horsepower. ECHO recommends using a 50:1 ratio of fuel to oil mix for all two-stroke cycle engines (50:1 ratio is equal to 1 gallon of 89 octane fuel and 2.6 fluid ounces of oil mix). Use a mid-grade to premium gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 89 or higher. The BRD-280 model can hold up to 21.1 fluid ounces of fuel and includes a 59-inch shaft and a six-finger, carbine-tipped steel blade. The steel blade is designed to be replaceable.
The BRD-280 model can be identified by its orange and black engine cover and handle. The manufacturer’s name, “ECHO,” is printed in black font near the bottom of the shaft and in white font on the side of the engine cover. The machine’s fuel tank is a partially-transparent white color. A high-impact nylon shield is attached to the bottom of the shaft to protect users from flying debris.
