The Dell Vostro 1000 is a business-oriented laptop computer that uses AMD's Socket S1 Processors. Released in October 2007, the device was manufactured and sold worldwide until its discontinuation in 2013 due to changing technology and lesser business demand. The Vostro 1000 was the first of the Vostro series, marketed as a cheap laptop option for businesses selling at a price of $800 USD.

The Vostro 1000 weighs 6.26 lbs coming in an all-black color. The device features a matte 15.4" WXGA display and full-sized keyboard, with 2GB of system memory in addition to its AMD dual-core processors and on-board Wi-Fi. The device offers 3 different battery options, between a 4, 6, and 9-cell "smart" lithium-ion that takes 2.5 to 3.5 hours to charge.
