The Dell Inspiron 1464 is a personal laptop computer designed and manufactured by Dell Technologies Inc. The Dell Inspiron 1464 was part of the Inspiron line that was marketed towards the mass market consumer for everyday use. The first Inspiron debuted in the 1990's and this Inspiron 1464 model was first made available in 2010. The 1464 model is part of the Dell Inspiron 1400 series and was considered a budget laptop since the price was $599 . Other models in the 1400 series lineup are 1410, 1420, 1425, 1427, 1428, 1440, and 1470.

The Inspiron 1464 incorporated the first generation of Intel i3 processors compared to its predecessor, Inspiron 1440, which featured Intel's Pentium Dual Core T4300 processor. This improvement paired with the 2GB of RAM and Intel's HD graphics card makes this laptop able to run multiple tasks at a time and easily play videos. The 1464 model decreased in weight compared to the previous 1440 model, going from 5.07 pounds to 4.8 pounds.

There were a few drawbacks to the 1464 model. The battery life was a big complaint among consumers as it only lasted about 3.5 hours on a full charge and the boot time was longer than average. The Inspiron 1464 was the last model released in the 1400 series.

The Inspiron 1464 has a 14' display and measures 13.39" wide, 9.55" deep, and 0.82"-1.27" thick. It weights 4.8 pounds and has 3 USB ports, 1 VGA, 1 HDMI, 1 Microphone jack, and 1 headphone jack.
