Background and Identification

The Craftsman Scroller Saw Model 315.10721 is a variable speed, double insulated, and multi use saw. It was manufactured by Sears, Roebuck and Co. in 1979 in the USA. This saw has a variable speed control switch which delivers higher speed and torque depending on the trigger pressure. The double insulation provides two layers of insulation around the wires and all exposed metal parts are isolated from the internal motor.

Sears later released a newer 1 inch, 0.5 hp automatic Craftsman Scroller Saw Model 315.17290; these guides are not for the newer 315.17290 model. This handheld saw is also to not be confused with the newer stationary 16 inch Craftsman Scroll Saw.
