Cisco has become a significant provider of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) to enterprises and has moved into the home user market after its acquisition of Scientific Atlanta and Linksys. Scientific Atlanta provides VoIP equipment to cable service providers including UPC, Time Warner, Cablevision, and Rogers Communications. Linksys partnered with Skype, Microsoft, and Yahoo! to integrate consumer VoIP services with cordless phones.

Cisco Systems phones and other products often include the Cisco logo, which includes the name “Cisco” underneath a series of vertical lines of varying lengths. Usually, the logo is printed in a light blue color.
