Background and Identification

Cardiology cameras (also referred to as nuclear cardiology) are used to assess a patient’s heart for coronary artery disease and cardiomyopathy and to analyze the amount of blood flow to the heart. The most common method of nuclear cardiology is myocardial perfusion imaging.
