Background and Identification
This version of the Canon ZR-series camcorders was released in August of 2003. This particular version was specifically designed to record videos as well as still photos all on one device. Blurry pictures will become a thing of the past with the 22x power optical zoom and auto-focusing abilities of the ZR70MC. Being only 1.2 lbs and also having a night mode option, this model version is usable for all situations at any time of the day or night.
Considering its age, this model has proven to be very reliable. There are no known failures that have caused manufacturer recalls for the ZR70MC. In addition, there are two common problem with this model: the battery life relative to current Canon camcorder models, and low image resolution in low-lit areas. However, the ZR70MC model version has been discontinued by Canon so if you want to experience the action, you will have to purchase a used model.
