Troubleshooting

Background
Mixing the ease of use of the 5D mark 2 and the high-quality photos of the 7D, the EOS 6D is popular with professionals and hobbyists alike for its low cost and high performance. It was released on September 17, 2012, for the Photokina trade show and since that time has had no major modifications, although firmware updates have been issued to improve its connectivity.
The EOS 6D is easily recognizable by the clear labeling above and to the right of the lenses. The button arrangement on the rear of the camera also helps differentiate it from similar models like the 5D mark 2 and 7D. When looking at the back of the camera, the EOS 6D has buttons on the right, while the 7D and 5D have buttons in columns on the left and bottom of the rear panel.
Identification
The Canon EOS 6D model is printed on the front of the camera just below the selection dial, seen as "EOS 6D."
