Boiling and Cooling

Brewing is a process that will require both heating and cooling. The process will require equipment such as burners, coolers, kettles, and temperature monitoring equipment.

Both heating and cooling are processes that are important to the brewing process. Heating your Wort kills off any microorganisms that might end up spoiling your beer and throwing off the end product's taste. In addition to sanitizing the wort, boiling the wort also concentrates the sugars, resulting in a higher gravity, and makes the beer have a much more complex flavor.
