Background and Identification

Released in 2004, the Blendtec Total Classic Blender is an all-in-one commercial power blender for home use. It is the most basic model in the Classic Blendtec product lines. With versatile functions, the Blendtec Total Classic can create smoothies, frozen desserts, juice, chopped veggies, nut milk, dough or batter, and can grind grains. Overall, the Total Blender simplifies kitchen tasks from blending ice into snow or peanuts into peanut butter.

The blender has a touchpad with 9 press buttons and 6 of the buttons control pre-set programs: Ice Cream/Frozen Yogurt, Ice Crush/Milkshakes, Soups/Syrups/Fondues, Sauces/Dips/Dressings/Batters, Whole Juice, and Smoothies. Each pre-set is designed to blend with multiple speeds that change throughout the course of the program cycle to give the best result.

Its base is durable as it is constructed from a tough polycarbonate material and proofed from getting any liquids inside of the motor. The On/Off switch is located on the back and the venting system is under the motor base. This base unit is also equipped with overheating and overloading systems that will turn the machine off until the motor cools or the ingredients in the blender are adjusted to prevent any overload.

The Blendtec Total Classic was discontinued in 2019 and is only available in reconditioned versions on the manufacturer’s website.
