Background and Identification
Airox Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is a producer of oxygen generators, pneumatic tube systems, hyperbaric chambers, and ventilators that serve the hospital and medical industries mainly in India. Airox was founded in 2011 in India and claims 85% of the Indian market of oxygen generators.
A ventilator is a machine that provides mechanical ventilation by moving breathable air into and out of a person’s lungs to deliver breaths to a patient who is breathing insufficiently or physically unable to breathe. Modern ventilators are computerized microprocessor-controlled machines that are primarily used in intensive care medicine, home care, emergency medicine, and anesthesiology. Ventilators are sometimes called “respirators,” though medical terminology uses the word “respirator” to refer to a protective face-mask.
The Airox Legendair is one of AIROX’s primary ventilators. The Legendair is a mixed portable ventilator that integrates pressure and volume modes for the treatment of most acute and chronic respiratory pathologies. It is equipped to receive and monitor oxygen supplied from an external low-pressure source. The oxygen concentration can reach up to 50% of the provided air, and minimum and maximum alarms can be set. This ventilator also has a responsive flow trigger that allows the ventilator to quickly adapt to the patient’s breathing. Its small turbine promotes optimal synchronization of the patient to the ventilator.
