Background and Identification

The AirSep NewLife Elite is an oxygen concentrator made by AirSep. An oxygen concentrator is a medical or industrial device that concentrates the oxygen from either ambient air or another gas supply. Oxygen concentrators selectively remove nitrogen and other gases from the air to provide an oxygen-enriched stream. AirSep is a producer of non-cryogenic oxygen and nitrogen supply solutions. AirSep’s solutions are designed as an alternative to gas generators and gas cylinders.

The AirSep NewLife Elite oxygen concentrator is advertised to deliver between one and five liters per minute of oxygen. The concentrators are sold with optional oxygen monitors. These devices include a pediatric flowmeter designed for use with infants and other patients who need low liter flow. Low liter flow is between 0.125-2 liters per minute. The NewLife Elite’s Air Outlet feature allows the device to provide medicated nebulizer treatments in addition to supplemental oxygen.

The AirSep NewLife Elite oxygen concentrator draws 350 Watts of power. When operated between one and three liters per minute, the air produced is approximately 95-percent oxygen. At four liters per minute, the air is 92-percent oxygen. At five liters per minute, the air produced is approximately 90-percent oxygen.

The NewLite Elite concentrator can be identified by the name “NewLife Elite” printed in large cursive font on the front of the device. The name “AirSep” is also printed in cursive font on the front of the machine.
