Background and Identification
Acer is a consumer electronics company headquartered in Taiwan. The company originated in 1976 as an electronic parts distributor. Since 1976, Acer has expanded to sell electronics worldwide. The company today sells laptops, desktops, monitors, projectors, tablets, accessories, and more.
Acer Iconia tablets include mostly tablets that run the Android operating system, but a few of them run Windows. This page houses Android Acer tablets, but the iFixit site also has a separate page for Windows Acer tablets.
Acer tablets are thin, rectangular devices. They are black in color and have the Acer logo printed on the back of the encasing. Acer tablets come in a variety of sizes, with displays ranging from 7 inches to 11.6 inches. The larger Acer tablets can be paired with a keyboard and other accessories to achieve laptop-like functionality, enabling users to do more with their device.
