Terracotta Army

Terracotta Army is a land filled with terracotta statues of warriors, with flowing mercury rivers, old arrow traps, and ancient weapons.

Mercury rivers are like Great Walls, with occasional bridges crossing them, but they do not separate different lands, they just segment the land into different regions.

Arrow traps look like trip wires stretched between two posts, and shoot arrows that kills intruders when triggered. However, the mechanism is old and the trap only triggers 1 turn after someone steps on it. This is occasionally useful for killing monsters that are following 1 tile behind you.

Ancient Weapons are generated next to statues. The statues have several states, indicated by how many items of armor they have put on, ranging from no armor to fully-equipped. Each turn the player or a monster other than a Jiangshi spends standing next to a statue will advance its state by one step, and once it has reached the state of being fully-equipped, on the next turn it will become a Terracota Warrior. Terracota Warriors have 7 HP, and get progressively more stunned if they are hit multiple times in a row. Arrow traps also stun them for several turns. They also summon Jiangshi whenever they are attacked; so care must be taken to keep the number of Jiangshi manageable when fighting a Terracota Warrior. Generally, it is wiser to not to awaken a Warrior, and to run away as quickly as possible once a warrior is awakened.
