Witchcraft Level

The level of a witchcraft item is determined from its type and complexity, as given by the following table:

<-- table goes here -->

Identify Basic Properties of Witchcrafted Item

This use of the skill requires one round of inspection, and functions exactly as if you had cast an identify spell on the item. You can’t attempt this on the same item more than once.

Identify All Properties of Witchcrafted Item

This requires one minute of inspection, and reveals all properties of a single item (including components and charges remaining). You can’t attempt this on the same item more than once.

Epic Check

You can identify properties of a witchwands, candles, witchstaffs and witchglyphs. (See table.)

Quick Identification

You can identify the basic property of a salve, incense or tonic as a full-round action, without an alchemical lab or any cost. You can’t retry this check (or take 20); if you fail, you must identify the substance in an alchemical lab, as normal.

Action

Varies, as noted above.

Try Again

See above.

gollark: XmlHTTPRequest is an annoying API and you should use promise-based ones like fetch anyway.
gollark: Probably!
gollark: Well, I looked it up and there's a random NPM package for that, but it's not built-in and appears to have not been updated in 5 years.
gollark: You probably want node-fetch or cross-fetch or axios, which work the same on the server and client.
gollark: Node does not, as far as I know, have XMLHttpRequest (that is such a bad name) at all.
