Monks that follow the Way of the True Seeing believe that once you are starved of the visual sense then you can truly see what's around you. They learn to leave behind the hindrance of optic detection for a much more precise method. With this, they gain insight far greater than one can imagine. This comes in the form of detecting weakness in enemies and visualizing their next move before it comes forth.
- Gifted Sight
At 1st level, you have your sight taken from you if it is not already gone. The ritual varies from monastery. Once this is completed you gain Blindsight for 30ft. This range increases by 10ft at lvl 4, 8, 12, 16.
- Blinded Training
Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you become much more familiar with the power your body has. You use echolocation and your newly acquired ability to sense vibrations through various nerve endings to gain a 15ft tremorsense. You can still read and write by picking up on the alteration the ink leaves in your range of sense. On the other hand, colors are no longer apparent to you, you can sense a change in colors but not the exact properties. With this, when you become deafened you aren't rendered "sightless". Additionally, you are no longer distracted by appearance and can locate weaknesses much faster. Your Martial Arts damage is now boosted by one die (I.e. 1d4->1d6, 1d6->1d8, 1d8->1d10, 1d10->1d12) and you can add your ability score modifier to your bonus action unarmed attack. Your tremorsense is heightened by 10 ft at level 10.
- Blind Protection
At 6th level, you can enter a defensive stance as a bonus action until the end of your next turn. This stance can be assumed as long as you are standing, unhindered, and with all of your new senses. With this stance comes the following benefits
- Attacks against you have disadvantage.
- You cannot be moved unwillingly.
- If an attack is made against you and it misses, you can retaliate with an unarmed strike. You can do this a number of times equal to your wisdom modifier per stance.
- Timely Vision
Beginning at 11th level, you have perfected the art of meditation. You only require 4 hours of meditation to obtain the benefits of a long rest and 15 minutes of meditation to gain the benefits of a short rest. When you are in this meditative state you are aware of your surroundings but unresponsive unless you choose to break it. After a long rest, for an additional hour of meditation you can gain the effects of the foresight spell. This lasts until the end of your next long rest and can only be used once until you need 3 long rests to recuperate this energy.
- Ascended Seeing
At 17th level, you gain the ability of true sight for 15 ft. As an action, you can zone in on one creature of your choice. This creature's essence becomes visible to you. You learn the physical statistics, resistances, and vulnerabilities of the chosen being. Once you are focused on one creature, they are vulnerable to all of your unarmed strikes and you have advantage on strikes against them. With this precision, you have disadvantage on all other creatures until this creature is dead or outside of your blindsight. After you commence this ability, you cannot willingly leave them from your blindsight. This ability can only be used once per long rest.
