What is a Masked Hero?

Masked Heroes follow the path of protection, saving lives from whatever evil that may be against them, be it a shadow organization or a figurehead of all that is evil. Their trademark appearance is a themed mask and armor to protect their identity as well as increase their durability, which is donned and doffed through a transformation. They attack fast, relying on precise strikes to end battles quickly. At the end of an egregious showdown, a Masked Hero will use his or her final attack, putting the enemy down for good.

Transformation

When choosing this subclass at 3rd level, you gain access to a special transformation form that you assume in combat. Your transformation costs 1 ki point, takes a bonus action, lasts for 1 minute and cannot be interrupted by any creature. In your transformed state, your armor class is increased by +3, and you deal an extra 2d6 bludgeoning damage with your unarmed strikes.

Hero Finisher

At 5th level, you gain the power to use a unique finishing technique of your choosing in your transformed state. You may spend 1 ki point to execute this finishing technique as a bonus action. When using this technique, you have advantage on your attack, and the creature will take an extra 2d6 force damage on contact.

The Face of Justice

At 11th level, your deeds have been noted, and you have become both an urban legend among common folk, and a force to reckoned with among evil. All creatures of an evil alignment have disadvantage when attacking you in your transformed state, and you gain advantage on intimidation rolls on all evil creatures outside of your transformed state.

Ultimate Form

At 17th level, when in your transformed state, you may undergo a secondary transformation into a much more powerful form. This secondary transformation costs 5 ki points, takes a full action, lasts for 1 minute and cannot be interrupted by any creature. In this more powerful form, all of your unarmed strikes deal an extra 2d10 force damage, and your armor class increases by +5, and any creature that is targeted by your Hero Finisher must roll a constitution saving throw. If they fail, they take 6d10 force damage; if they succeed, they talk half the damage. Additionally, If the creature is still alive, they are knocked prone. This feature can only be used once per long rest.

gollark: Oh, and subprocesses I guess.
gollark: We ended up with JSON and network services kind of doing that, which is slow and aeaeae.
