Way of the Elemental Fist (5e Subclass)

Way of the Elemental Fist

Monk Subclass

The way of the elemental fist is only attainable by those who have seen the disaster that is war, or those humans with a pure enough soul to use it. This class can only be used by a Pure-Blood Human or a Warborn. If a human has any trace of another race in his or her blood, the monk's way's will guide them to a different path.

Elemental Fist.

When you choose this subclass, you gain control of one element of your choice. The elements are as follows: Fire, Cold(Ice), Lightning, Force(Earth), Force(Water), Slashing(Air), Poison, Force(Thunder), Radiant(Light), and Necrotic(Darkness). For 1 Ki Point, if there is any presence of your element within 15 feet, you can use your action to manipulate it. Once manipulated, the element has a usable distance of 100 feet. If your element is given a physical form, this form lasts until you dismiss it, or in the case of attacks, until the attack is cast.

Weaponizing your element requires you to make an attack roll based on whether the attack is melee or ranged. On a successful hit, deal 1d8 of your elemental damage. This damage increases by 1d8 at 6th, 10th, 15th, and 20th levels.

Elemental Wall.

At 6th level, you gain the ability to summon a wall of your element. This wall is 30 feet long, 20 feet high, and does 3d6 of your elemental damage when you walk through it. The only wall that is not passable is earth, and if you try, you can, but take 6d6 Force(Earth) damage, and are buried underground. The elemental fist must be active to have this effect

Elemental Uppercut.

At 11th level, you gain the ability to charge your fist and attack your enemy in it's weak spot. For two actions, you must charge your elemental fist. The elemental fist must be active for this to take effect. After two actions have passed, you may make a melee attack. If you hit, then it does 2d6 bludgeoning damage and 2d8 of your element's damage.

Elemental Warlord.

At 17th level, you become an elemental warlord. You gain the ability to control a second element and may now attack with both at once, dealing extra damage from both elements instead of just one. You also gain the ability to consume your element from outside forces and regain health. If there is your element somewhere nearby, and an enemy is attacking with it, you may consume it to heal the damage it would do. Consuming Air, water, Earth, light, or darkness has no effect. It only has effect if someone attacks you with it. Fire, ice, lightning, and poison can consume their elements from other sources i.e. a Fire and Lightning Elemental warlord eating a torch, or consuming a lightning bolt from a passing storm.
