Class Features

All the following are class features of the Warrior of the Soul:

Aura of Good (Ex): The power of a Warrior of the Soul's aura of Good (see the detect evil spell) is equal to her character level. Add Good to the warrior's subtype. In addition, any celestial or fiend recognizes the Warrior of the Soul as such and will treat her accordingly.

Darkvision (Ex): The Warrior of the Soul gains Darkvision out to 60 feet.

Smite Evil (Su): Once per day the creature can make a normal melee attack to deal extra damage equal to its HD total (maximum of +20) against an Evil foe. If the character already has Smite Evil, he gains no additional benefits.

Resist Acid (Ex): The Warrior of the Soul gains Resistance (Acid) 5.

Resist Electricity (Ex): The Warrior of the Soul gains Resistance (Electricity) 5.

Resist Cold (Ex): The Warrior of the Soul gains Resistance (Cold) 5.

Damage Resistance (Ex): The Warrior of the Soul gains DR 5/magic.

Celestial (Ex): The Warrior of the Soul has secured himself a place in the afterlife as a mercenary. The Warrior of the Soul gains the Celestial template. The warrior gains extraplanar subtype. The Warrior of the Soul gains Spell Resistance character level + 5. Use the character level when determining hit die based effects. Do not count the level adjustment of the template.

A Warrior of the Soul's natural weapons, as well as any weapons they wield, are treated as good-aligned and magic for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction.

When a Warrior of the Soul dies, a celestial comes down to retrieve the fallen warrior's soul. The higher the level of the fallen, the higher the type of celestial. The warrior of the soul is then changed to type Outsider. He is then given the choice to remain on the material plane, fighting for good until he reaches level 20, or to ascend and join the celestial hosts.

gollark: If living programmers remain, they will be neurally scanned and their memories used to reassemble site code. Alternatively, the contents of their neural scan can be backfilled from public (or nonpublic) data.
gollark: In this case it may become necessary to simulate the universe backward such that you attain a time when the site existed.
gollark: Now, of course, the servers it finds may not or no longer contain the site code, in which case it can try data recovery operations or piece it together from logs.
gollark: In parallel, it can attempt to access governmental IP traffic logs and find historical copies of the site to use.
gollark: If no exploitable vulnerabilities are found the next step is to launch a physical layer assault to access the servers in question.

Paladins and Monks

A paladin who becomes a Warrior of the Soul uses his paladin level and Warrior of the Soul levels to determine lay of hands bonus

Monks who become warriors of the soul continue to advance in their unarmed damage. ...

Ex-Warrior of the Soul

Should a Warrior of the Soul ever stop being good, he ceases to advance in this class. Should a Warrior of the Soul become evil, he loses all class abilities until he regains a non-evil alignment and sacrifices 500 x Level experience points. The character does not lose levels because of this experience loss, but he does not gain levels until he reaches the appropriate experience level.
