Vassal of Tiamat

The Tiamat's wrath shall rain down destruction upon you and your kin, Bahamut worshipper. Face me if you dare!
—Willis Manslayer, Human Vassal of Tiamat, Worshipper of Tiamat

A great melee combatant. Vassal of Tiamat A vassal of Tiamat lives to serve Tiamat. For Characters who worship Tiamat. Usually fighters, or blackguards.

Vassals of Tiamat aspire to become symbols of their gods and fearsome warriors on the battlefield. They show no fear, offer no quarter and expect none in return. Their fearsome physiques become more serpentine and terrible with each stage of their gradual transformation. Once they have begun their scaly transformation, their bloodlust is unquenchable. They seek war, conquest and destruction of those who would oppose them. There are two paths, but only one can be travelled, Tiamat or Bahamut.

Becoming a Vassal of Tiamat

The trevails of this class are true tests of sacrifice, desire, and devotion. Many have felt the lure of the elemental power of dragon kind, but few survive the process for danger is always imminent. To serve Tiamat provokes the anger of the servants of Bahamut. Fighters and barbarians are usually the types that take on these herculean trials necessary to properly serve the 5 headed mother of monsters. The few that are able to pass the rituals gain great power and influence within their sect.

Class Features

All of the following are class features of the Draconic Champion. Each transformation occurs over a period of 24 hours, gradually transforming them into a Half-Dragon Variant over 8 levels.

Tiamat’s Aura (Ex): Evil dragons are naturally well-disposed toward a Vassal of Tiamat, while good dragons are cowed by his presence. The Vassal of Tiamat gains a bonus equal to his class level on all Charisma-based skill checks made against good dragons and dragon-type creatures (such as Dragon born).

Chromatic Armor (Ex): A vassal of Tiamat is granted the ability to create chromatic scale mail. The vassal starts with scales from a slain juvenile (or older) gold dragon and works them for 2 days per character level. During this time, the vassal must not engage in other activities other than eating or sleeping. At the end of this period, the gold dragon scales transform into wings of darkness (flight perfect 60ft). The armor also has shades of all the chromatic dragons as a symbol of Tiamat’s power. The finished masterwork suit of armor weighs 25 pounds and confers a +8 armor bonus. Its other properties are as a masterwork chain shirt (+4 max Dex bonus, -1 armor check penalty, 20% arcane spell failure chance, no speed reduction. Only the Vassal of Tiamat may wear the Chromatic armor, which instantly corrodes and turns to powder if donned by another creature. The vassal’s chromatic armor may be enhanced using standard item creation feats. Dragon senses: Starting at second level, a vassal of Tiamat can see 4 times as well as a human in low-light conditions and twice as well as a human in normal light. He also gains dark vision 120 ft.

Sacrificial Trove (Ex): At 2nd, 5th, and 8th level a vassal of Tiamat receives a paltry lump sum as a reward for sacrificing any good aligned creature. The reward magically appears before the vassal ---a mound of platinum coins delivered straight from Tiamat’s celestial treasure vault. The number of platinum pieces 50*vassal’s character level. The vassal may spend the money more or less as he sees fit, provided the expenditure serves an evil or tyrannical cause. If the money is spent frivolously or unwisely, Tiamat sends a loyal representative (usually a red dragon in an alternate form to demand your life. Spending the money to improve one’s personal equipment is neither frivolous nor unwise. At 8th level the vassal gains the orb of Tiamat. These are the same abilities as the normal orbs of dragon kind (the abilities are described in the DMG page 281). The only exception is the black dragon power it is instead a breath weapon doing 2d4 damage of acid. If you do not make your sacrifice take a -5 to your to hit, and to regain you have to sacrifice 2 instead of 1 as usual.

Feat (Ex): At 3rd, 6th and 9th levels the vassal of Tiamat gains bonus feats. However he can only select feats with the Draconic or Darkness type.

Dragon’s Claw (Ex): Good dragons that strike a vassal of Tiamat or are struck by him suffer grievous wounds. At 4th level, a vassal of Tiamat deals +2d6 points of damage with each successful melee attack made against a good creature of the dragon type. Furthermore, any such creature that strikes the vassal a natural weapon or melee weapon takes 1d6 points of damage. In both cases, half of the extra damage is permanent hit point drain. A dragon that survives a battle against a vassal of Tiamat often bears terrible scars from the permanent drain of hit points. Only a wish or miracle spell can restore hit points drained permanently by a vassal’s dragon’s claw ability.

Dragon Apotheosis (Half-Dragon) (Ex): At 10th level, with the devotion to Tiamat and the sacrifices she turns you into a Half-Dragon. He gains a +4 to STR and +2 to CHA. He gains natural armor +4. He also gains immunity to sleep and paralysis effects. Gains breath weapon of the Vassal's Choosing as long as it is Chromatic and immunity to that choice. The breath weapon does 4d8 of damage.

gollark: No idea. The original project was called "fractalart", so I kept the name. It generates them using a process which sounds slightly fractal, at least.
gollark: I can tweak a bunch of parameters too.
gollark: I fixed my Rust port of a Haskell program for these. It's very fast.
gollark: GAZE upon it.
