Valia (4e Deity)

Also known as the Goddess of Victory, Valia was one of the ramparts in the Four Meditation's Alliance. She is sister to the goddess He'Nth and a patron to all heroes and valorous individuals. Despite not being a goddess of major power, her presence and exemplar of bravery and charisma made her often stand as an equal patron to greater gods. She was one of the main patrons of the country of Camus. Her realm was considered to be a sacred patch of land in the world, called Elysium. Those who prove themselves to her were allowed to rest there and live out an eternity of bliss. This all changed when the Gorge came. Valia sacrificed herself to preserve a semblance of Elysium, which is now the modern day Valia Isles.

Domains: Skill, Hope

Valia was a kind and courageous goddess who, despite seeing worth in valor, did not necessarily condone bloodshed. Her tenets were as held:

  • Bravery does not come of the fools who seek death. Seeking danger to prove oneself was folly. True bravery came from rising to the task not always sought for.
  • Protect and stand for the weak, as they will always face more adversary. Valia saw many mortal struggles as inescapable cycles. She often found favor in the underdogs.
  • Death is an illusion hiding greatness. Even with death, one continued to live on in the legends of their deeds.
