Welcome!

Hello Phoenix of Chaos and welcome to D&D Wiki. I hope you have been enjoying D&D Wiki and I hope you have been finding the information here useful. Before you start contributing it is recommended you make sure your user preferences match your preferences. I am an admin (and, actually, the owner as well). Everything relating to admins can be found here.

Questions

If you have any questions about a specific page please ask it on that pages talk page. All other questions should be asked to another; user, admin, or me, the owner (ask me a question).

Formatting

Formatting on D&D Wiki (or any wiki for that matter) can be very difficult, and if you need help a good place to start is Help:Editing on Wikipedia (or even their Introduction page). This will explain basic wiki formatting and should provide quite a few useful links that explain more specific areas of wiki formatting. Again, if you have any questions about formatting on D&D Wiki please ask them as, I imagine, anybody will be more than happy to help you get them answered.

Community

A strong and welcoming community exists on D&D Wiki, and I am sure you will find it rather nice. Most discussions take place on content talk pages, however please feel free to ask specific D&D-related questions on DnD Discussions. Anyway, possibly since discussions are never deleted, people try to be nice. This means follow Wikipedia's guidelines on civility and etiquette when discussing anything. Also, on a pretty different note, to ensure people know who posted what, please sign your name after a post with four tildes (~~~~) or by clicking on the signature icon (). This will automatically produce your name and the date. Anyway, I hope you come to enjoy D&D Wiki and the community and welcome again, you are now a D&D Wikian. --Green Dragon 00:22, 23 December 2010 (MST)

Thanks for the warm welcome, Green! Or do I call you Dragon? In either case, thanks for the information! --Phoenix of Chaos, around 11AM GMT

Credit where credit is due

I wanted to drop you a note that your current work on the Ocarina of Time is absolutely outstanding; converting one of the most iconic series items into a workable format tends to be a tiring endeavor and difficult to perfect, but you've aced it. Good work, man. Harry Mason 10:41, 29 December 2010 (MST)

Thanks muchly, Harry. It wasn't easy, and I'm still planning on adding the missing songs. Glad to know I'm being watched! ^^ I'll admit, I've had some help, but he's not a user here so I can't post it. -Phoenix of Chaos 11:08, 29 December 2010 (MST) EDIT: Wait, he made one. Credit for assistance goes to Swithe.

I would like to make a humble request that, should it be possible, I be permitted editing for your pages. Following a minor edit to Arceus (simple spelling and grammar, nothing serious), my conscience peaked and I worried it might be conveyed as offensive in some manner for me to violate your wishes as such. Though my typical edits branch approximately as wide as my archetypal English specifications, I would be willing to attempt more active contribution to illustrious video-game projects such as what you're undertaking. All that I've lacked is sufficient motivation and drive, as well as a communicative team. My apologies if this note is all over the place, a bit of mania is occurring at my household presently. Thanks for asking, Harry, and I guess somebody to help with that sort of thing would be appreciated. Thanks for giving me the heads up. Phoenix of Chaos 09:27, 30 December 2010 (MST)
gollark: * automatically → easily automatically
gollark: Which is the problem.
gollark: But you can't automatically detect whether a particular keyword or trending item is a political ideology.
gollark: The best* way would probably be a Twitter scraper to determine how much people are talking about each ideology, but their API is really annoying to get access to and you'd need to explicitly compile a list or something.
gollark: I should totally implement this! It would be really easy with a simple hashing-type thing. The hard part would just be finding the political views and determine the weights (as I assume you don't want all politics with the same frequency).
