Welcome!

Hello MissLoyalty, and welcome to D&D Wiki! I hope you are enjoying D&D Wiki and have been finding the information here useful. Before you start contributing, we recommend you make sure your user preferences match your preferences.

Questions

If you have any questions about a specific page please ask it on that page's talk page. If you have a D&D-related question, you can ask it on DnD Discussions. Everything relating to D&D Wiki's administration can be asked here. If you need to contact another user, please use their talk page.

Formatting

Syntax can be very difficult, and if you need help a good place to start is Help:Editing on Wikipedia (or even their Introduction page). This will explain basic wiki formatting and should provide quite a few useful links that explain more specific areas of wiki formatting. Help:Portal also provides detailed explanation of information important specifically to this community.

Community

A strong and welcoming community exists on D&D Wiki, and I'm sure you will find us friendly. To enable the community to function, a number of policies are in effect. Most importantly, we follow and expect you to follow Wikipedia's guidelines on civility and etiquette when discussing anything. As most work has multiple authors, please do not delete content without following our removal process. When posting a comment on a talk page, please ensure you sign your name with four tildes (~~~~) or by clicking on the signature icon (). This will automatically produce your name and the date. I hope you come to enjoy D&D Wiki and the community. Welcome again, you are now a D&D Wikian. Blobby383b (talk) 00:48, 6 April 2018 (MDT)

Fae (5e Race)

Hi MissLoyalty; thank you for being enthusiastic about the Fae race. I get that it was something you originally designed by yourself, however, as I said on that page's talk, this is a wiki and you need to be prepared for other people editing pages you create. Here, you reverted good-faith, constructive edits by the user ConcealedWife, ignoring her contributions, and rather than discuss her changes on the race's talk page, you instead insisted on your preferred version of the page by undoing administrative actions by two different administrators here and here, not once attempting to initiate discussion on the talk page. Unfortunately, this means I must issue you a warning for edit warring. If you continue behaving in this manner you may be blocked; please try to collaborate with other users instead of bulldozing pages back to their prior states and ignoring the contributions of other editors. It is my hope that you can contribute constructively to this wiki in the future. Geodude (talk | contribs | email)‎‎ . . 22:40, 4 June 2018 (MDT)

CW’s edit may have been good faith but if they contradict a users image for a design then why is it harmful to undo it? Much like I expect anyone to do, and add vandalism to the summary of the edit. Had this been done by an anon to CW, CL, or another active user the edit would be undone and vandalism as the reason. Food for thought. Instead insisting on the vandalism done to the page, admins could have started the discussion? Being admin doesn’t make you exempt from this. I also find the use of bulldozing to misinterpret an admins comments on another talk page. Users can appeal on Wikipedia, does DanDwiki have similar? BigShotFancyMan (talk) 23:46, 4 June 2018 (MDT)
There's not an official process to my knowledge, but any concerns about a warning's validity can be brought up on Green Dragon's talk page. Geodude (talk | contribs | email)‎‎ . . 00:01, 5 June 2018 (MDT)
That is a very good idea, thanks for the help. BigShotFancyMan (talk) 00:54, 5 June 2018 (MDT)
