Bewitched

Not too long ago you were cursed. The reason for the curse could have been for anything you might have done, or it could be a natural born thing. Work out why you were cursed with the DM. But after that you began your life on the road as a traveler and got money from doing whatever your job were before the curse

Skill Proficiencies: Two of your choice

Languages: One common language and speak with animals while changed

Equipment: Common or traveler's clothes, artisan's tools, tent, candle, a map containing the layout of the region, and 5g

Feature: The curse

Every time the sun sets, you will transform into the animal you have gotten from the list above. Or take one level exhaustion. You transformation happens in a instant, the animal is anthropomorphic and your size becomes medium. However when changed all your armor falls off and you can't wield weapons. Your Armor class is 10+ dexterity and strength modifiers. You gain the claws or talons of the animal making your unarmed strikes 1d10 and you are proficient in it. Once the sun rises you will change back even if your are underground. And you must chose one level of control.

Control
1Fighting. You are fighting the curse, thus when you change into your animal shape you dont have much control over yourself. At the beginning of the change you must roll a percentile die. Lower then 50% you have no control and the DM decides what you do, in combat you must roll a die equivalent to the number of attack able people to decide who you must attack including allies. Higher then 50% you have control over your form during that night of change and can act freely. You also gain +7 to the passive stats connected to the animal mentioned above, rather you have control or not.
2Normal. You have become accustom to your curse as have your animal side become accustom to you. You can tap into your animal's abilities and gain certain bonuses depending on the animal connected to you. Wolf gains advantages on all Perception and athletics checks. Fox gains advantage on all acrobatics and deception checks. Bear gains advantage on all intimidation and survival checks. Hawk gains advantage on all insight and persuasion checks.
3Mastered. You have decided to delve deeper into your curse and after years of training have managed to learn to change your shape at will, but are still forced to change at night. You gain 1d10 die per 2 levels on all unarmed attacks in your beast form.

gollark: That's basically the entire point of their design.
gollark: You could, but hash functions are designed not to exhibit any patterns.
gollark: This sort of thing is very good at the particular task it's optimized for, but expensive (initial-cost-wise, it's easy to churn out more of them) and entirely unable to do anything else, unlike general-purpose CPUs/GPUs, which are also hilariously expensive in initial investment but can do basically anything and are reusable all over the place.
gollark: Fortunately, we have good cryptography now as export controls were stupid and didn't actually work.
gollark: Well, "very good" varies.
