Beholders

"How unusual! A creature that can cast spells out of its eyes!"

-An unlucky scientist, before being disintegrated

Physical Description

Beholders are spherical, with one large eye and 5 eyestalks on each side. They have skin and eyes of various unusual colors with the most common being green, purple, blue, and red.

History

One of the most famous beholders was the Xanathar, an eye tyrant (see below), leader of the Xanathar Guild in Waterdeep. The Xanathar was actually a title, not a name, with the current Xanathar being a beholder actually called Zushaxx.

Society

Beholders have no society as they are very paranoid in most cases. A few beholders, called eye tyrants, rule crime syndicates or thieves' guilds.

Beholder Names

A beholder makes its name out of various syllables and letters it likes, and such, there are no typical names.

gollark: Vanilla mechanics tend to end up spawning all kinds of slightly-overpowered stuff across loads of mods.
gollark: Is combat balance a sensible way to go anyway?
gollark: It is the time-honored method of all pack developers, except this pack doesn't use as much clay.
gollark: What options are there for automining anyway?
gollark: You want people to manually mine in a tedious fashion?
