Thunder's Tail Strike (3.5e Ki Techniques)

Thunder's tail strike

By spending 10 ki points, as a standard action, you may create an effect similar to the chain lightning spell.

It works the same but the electric ray must start from your body and its range is 100 feet (30 meters) from you to your primary target and 30 feet (9 meters) from target to target.

It deals 1d6 per class level (maximum 15d6) and half of that (rounded down) to any target after the first. Half damage is electric and half sonic.

After it strikes, a thunder's tail can arc to a number of secondary targets equal to your class level (maximum 20). Each target can attempt a Reflex saving throw to half damage.

You choose secondary targets as you like, but they must all be within 30 feet of the primary target, and no target can be struck more than once. You can choose to affect fewer secondary targets than the maximum.

Target heavily coated in metal or wearing metal armor suffer a -3 to the save. Each target that fails the save is permanently deafened.

This counts as a supernatural ability.

gollark: You can display other blinkenlight-type things. I use netdata for my excessively-graph-filled pages.
gollark: Yes, but if a tablet is available...
gollark: Those are no longer considered very private.
gollark: Put your swap on pingFS to download more RAM!
