Soul Miester

An elite warrior who uses a living weapon as their weapon of choice. They train at all times to prefect their weapons so that they can become Death Scythes.

Making a Soul Miester

The are great at putting out large amounts of damage, yet are useless if there Death Scythe becomes incapitated.

Abilities: Strength and Dexerity, depending if your Death Scyhte is ranged or melee are strong points of the class. .

Races: Any race.

Alignment: Any alignment is fine but usually centers around the good axis.

Starting Gold: 6d10 gp).

Starting Age: Simple as fighter.

Class Features

All of the Soul Miesters abilities rely on there Death Scythe Companion. All of the following are class features of the Soul Miester.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Soul Miesters are not profienct with any weapon besides their Death Scythe. They are profienct with light to medium armor.


Soulbound Weapon: The Soul Miester has a Death Scythe companion, a living being of any medium race that turns into their weapon. The blade itself cannot hold any weapons or wear any armor. The Death Scythe is physically another player that must be protected, The Death scythe cannot be killed but if knocked our or broken can be repaired with 12 hours of concentration, durring which the player cannot rest. The transformation from Death Scythe to weapon is swift action that does not cause an attack of opportunity. While in weapon form the Death Scythe has 6 damage reduction/5 character levels and your constitution +4. Keep in mind the Death scythe retains all other stats while in weapon form and can still talk to you, but on you not one else can hear.

Weapon Bond: The Death Scythe and you start to form a bond. While using Their Death Scythe she gets +1 to all attack and ability rolls.

Bonus Feat: The Soul Miester can pick a feat from the fighter feat list.

Soul Resonance:The Soul Miester and their Death Scythe's souls resonate to create a powerful attack dealing 6d6.

Death Scythe Power:The Death scythe begins to discover its full potential gains a custom power that must aproved by the DM or taking a non-combat class like dancer or bard. These powers can be range from an attack that causes an extra 3d10 per successful attack or a soul siphon effect where any damage done by the soul bound weapon heals the miester.

Consume Soul: After defeating an opponent her Death Scythe can consume the opponents soul, storing up to 10 souls. The Death Scythe can use these souls to heal 1d4 for each soul that it eats. After the soul is eaten it is removed from the Death Scythe.

Death Scythe Combat: The Death Scythe can act on its own will. The Death Scythe can turn half weapon able tranform an arm into weapon form to protect the Soul Miester.

Becoming Death's Weapon: The Living weapon has now become strong enough to be wielded by Death himself and as such gains the Vorpal effect that ignore any and all effects that negate instant death effects. This ability can only be used when the Living weapon is in weapon form and can only be activated if you roll a natural 20. All other critical threats do not threaten this ability.

Ex-Soul Miester's

A Soul Miester that betrays his Death Scythe cannot obtain another and loses all abilities from this class.

Soul Miesters are a rare occurence seeing as Death Scythes rarely reveal that they can transform.

Daily Life: Soul Miesters spend their life as any other player, except for their Death Scythe followes them almost everywhere.
