Introduction For DM/GM

Players: 6

Starting Level: 5

Campaign Difficulty: Challenging/Hard

Special Rulings

  1. 100-floor dungeon, with random monster generation.
    • What this means is your DM will not know what you are encountering next.
    • Once you clear a floor you will warp to a random floor
    • Each level has its own level rating, meaning it may not match with your level.
    • This is a challenging/Hard dungeon, characters will most likely die.
  2. Once dead there is no coming back.
    • What this means is your party cannot exit the crucible to revive your character
    • Spells such as Resurrection still work but are limited:
      • Revivify: Unlimited
      • Raise Dead: once per character
      • Reincarnate: once per character
      • Resurrection: once per character
      • True Resurrection: once per character
    • Once per character: if you are playing a cleric, you may cast Raise Dead once on each level of your party, but the same is true for Ressurection and True Resurrection.
    • Once a player's character dies, they do not get to make a new one for that entry.
  3. Once you enter there are only two ways out.
    • Defeating the dungeon and claiming your glory
    • By forfeit but be warned if you quit your character can never enter again.
      • The party/player may leave the campaign only after the current floor is cleared.
  4. The spell Wish can only be used once.
    • You may use the spell in the middle of a battle to remove yourself/ a player/ party from the dungeon, though doing so will end the campaign.
    • You may NOT use it to complete the campaign.

Player Deaths

If a player does die you can provide that player with an award based on their deeds, or how they died. as an example a paladin that died trying to aid their party members may become a soldier for their god after death.

Movement between Floors

All players start on Floor ZERO, and move into Floor 1 to start the campaign. however this is where the pleasantries end after the first floor is cleared, the DM will roll percentile dice, and move the players to that floor. then mark the floor off. the floors do not repeat, and once all are cleared they will move to floor 101 and face the final boss. If the final boss is beaten then the players should be rewarded properly.

After the Floor is cleared, the part may take short/long rests, they do not have to proceed to the next floor immediately.

Below you will find breakdowns of each floor to help you decide encounters.

You might have noticed the CR+ in the table, once all floors are completed you will have to decide what the players with be fighting, by now in theory all players should be level 20, this is the BBG, the final boss and you as a DM need to give the players an epic fight, one that will bring them to the edge of breaking, but not flat out kill them.

NOTE if you feel like a Tarrasque is an answer, then by all means.

Special Floors

Special floors are alternative floors, have some simple puzzles or tricks prepared for your players to solve as a way to prevent bad luck rolls, an example of this is the party clears the first floor, and the dice land on floor 100, you could instead move them into a special room and mark off a low level room.
