Description
Telmark was a lifless rock floating in space until Azzdan created portals to the elemental plain of water on the planet to relocate the last surviving sea elfs form the planet that was destroyed in the battle between Azzdan and his friends and the Demon lord.
Climate
The waters of Telmark are very pure and warm as they come from 36 portals located on the surface of the planet. These portals where created by the god Azzdan. These portals are continuing to add mass to the planet(it started as a class A rock body). The satellite that orbits the plant when it passes over these (a different one every hour)portals, it causes them to erupt with geysers of water that shoots out into space that end up as rain on the waterfall tradepost on the sun.
Prominent Land Features
The planet is the home to a single kelp like plant the was placed here by one of Azzdan's friends who had helped destroy the Demon lord. This kelp plant has grown over the years to fill the seas, many of the large leaves of the plant support small villages of sea elves and other creates. The leaves on the surface of the water can support spelljamming ships that need land to set down on.
The corrupted portal deep on the rocky bottom is a large portal created by Azzdan, to the elemental plane of water similar to the one on the sun, except it allows any creature of any alignment to pass through it. Located next to it sets a large fortress that houses the elemental water avatar of Azzdan. In a battle with an Elemental Prince of Evil the portal was changed to allow any alignment to pass. This allowed a kraken to pass into the oceans of Telmark. Currently the other side of the portal is controlled by SAHUAGIN. There are constant battles at this portal as they try to gain a foothold on Telmark
Ports of Call
IEN outpost: New Haven The IEN keeps 2 Man-O-War stationed at Telmark. One is always in orbit around the planet. The other is docked usually undergoing repairs and maintenance. The base can dock as many as 5 Man-O-Wars at one time. It also has 3 land based docks and 5 water docks.
Lizardman outpost: Dragonleaf The post is a resupply point for Bloatfly ships from a nearby crystal shell that sends it eggs here to be warmed by the sun.
Azzdan's Fortress Directly above the fortress is a docking station used to resupply the Fortress below. It has 5 water docks and 2 land docks and 1 drydock, Azzdan's fortress is manned by a large force of water creature they guard the fortress and portal. They are 5 EMPYREANs all sons of Azzdan and minor elven goddes of streams he met deep in the Feywild. They are the captains of the army of Tritons and Aquatic Elves and Merfolk that are fighting the SAHUAGIN invaders.
