Balance Changes

Okay, I'll explain the changes here:

• First of all, 35 walking is worth 0.5 on the Musicus' Meter, so I reduced it down to 30ft, making it a +0 to reduce how high this race is on the meter.
• The biggest problem is with the flying speed, which is 35ft, nerfed to 20ft. Because this class flies without wings, each 5ft is worth 1. So even at 30ft, this trait is worth 4 on the meter.
• Made One with the Shadow actually say it gives the proficiency, which is worth 0.5
• Nerfed 120 darkvision to 60 darkvision, which is worth 0.5, because there's nothing in the race to balance the 120 darkvision other than the vulnerability.
• The necrotic resistance is worth 0.5, and vulnerability is worth 0, but this vulnerability is better used to say it offsets the Dark Tools.
• Nerfed Phase to act more like the Halfling's Nimbleness and not do damage, because Phase allow the Wraith to pass through a creature its in melee with to deal a free 1d6 necrotic damage each turn and potentially up to 5x if they're all in a neat line, taking the dodge action to reduce damage from Attacks of Opportunity. Halfling's Nimbleness is worth 0.5, but this lets you also move through walls and creatures of any size, so this is probably worth at least 1
• Nerfed Dark Tools to require a bonus action, because this feature allows this race to unsheathe a light melee weapon with the free item interaction, and then another with this racial feature, thereby allowing dual wielding without taking 2 turns to do so. This would probably be worth about 0.5 on the Musicus' Meter

Totaling that up, this race is now 3+0.5+0.5+1+0.5, which equals 5.5, not counting the free flying. With the flying, the total gets +4 and this becomes 9.5. This race is still a bit high on the meter, and the vulnerability to Radiant isn't that huge of a debuff since it's a uncommon damage type. However, this race is an Undead, making it immune to healing spells in 5e, so this might be okay. --Alearori (talk) 12:14, 20 November 2017 (MST)
