Talk:Shoulder Mounted Railgun (5e Equipment)
If you have any ideas on what should I do in order to make this more balanced then? Its an end game weapon that is supposed to be an all or nothing (hence the 1 shot). Also, reminder that it is a level 20 weapon, as well as that if you miss with a roll of a 1, the recharge time increases by 2 days at a time with a max of 5 time. Unless the DM states otherwise.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Xslasher112 (talk • contribs) . Please sign your posts.
- There is no prerequisite for obtaining items, and class features and race traits should not give you equipment, they can only give you proficiency in something(weapon/armor/skill/tool).--Blobby383b (talk) 14:27, 10 January 2018 (MST)
- On another note, I believe this is done to prevent abuse as giving items as a feature can be the equivalent of giving gold(and a potentially broken amount as well) to a PC which also shouldn't be done.--Blobby383b (talk) 14:33, 10 January 2018 (MST)
- This item greatly breaks the bounds of what should be allowed in D&D as even a 9th level spell that targets 1 creature should deal 15d10 damage according to the DMG compared to this weapon which can deal 15d20 damage every day. Plus there is the fact that there is a very real possibility of obtaining this weapon before level 20 because again there are no racial level 20 weapons.
- I am just going to leave the numerous other comments I made here and here as well as leaving the balanced version of this weapon which was reverted here.--Blobby383b (talk) 11:58, 12 January 2018 (MST)
