Talk:Shadow Elf (5e Subrace)

Would the player roll a d4 when creating the character and that determines the maximum number of hours that the character can be in sunlight? Or does the player roll a d4 when the character enters sunlight, let's say that I rolled a 3, those 3 hours are up I fail a Con. saving throw, suffer a level of exhaustion, and roll another d4 to see how long I last this time?

So, I have a question about Sunlight Fear...

It would really help if this is made more clear!
