Talk:Reaver (3.5e Class)

Rating - 6/10

I give this Prestige Class a 6/10 because This class Is relatively balanced, accept the unholy power, it's way more balanced than trav's black knight, but might want to tone that down a bit, besides that good job (I suggest making it +1d4 damage, and only ever getting up to 4d4, that would be good. zombiecow 02:33, 16 February 2008 (MST)

This rating has been nullified with the implementation of the new Rating System. --Green Dragon 22:41, 20 February 2008 (MST)

Steal the Soul

i wanted to know if the soul gets expended after being used in the scythe because one of my party members is a valkyrie and she wants souls and i didnt want to get in her way(trust me, shes scarry). Also, what does double kneened mean? --Xdeletedx 18:42, 22 February 2008 (MST)

Yes it gets expended and is no longer usable. Double keen means it has keen implemented on it twice. --Ktonos 21:06, 22 February 2008
I thought it said kneened and what about other negative energy spells for the negative healing like rebuke undead --Xdeletedx 21:48, 22 February 2008 (MST)
Also for the abilities Unholy and Improved Unholy, Unholy says it adds 1d4 negative energy damage, but in Improved Unholy its says the negative damage is 2d4 instead of 1d6 <---is this the actual negative energy damage or is it 1d4? also Greater Unholy says 3d6 instead of 2d6(isn't it supposed to be 2d4?) --Xdeletedx 22:01, 22 February 2008 (MST)
Sorry I was thinking of something else ad it has been reverted back to normal. --Ktonos 12:28, 24 February 2008 (MST)

Soul Bound Scythe

Is there any way of swapping out your original scythe for a different one later in the game? cause once i get to level 15 and up I'm not sure that a standard scythe is going to cut it as my main weapon.--Shoukin 10:23, 25 November 2008 (MST)

You could always find a sorcerer or someone and get it enchanted. --Green Dragon 15:09, 25 November 2008 (MST)

Power - <<<5>>>/5 I give this class a <<<5>>> out of 5 because <<<It is very well balanced yet is a strong and workable class to play in a campaign; the only balancing issue is that I believe Thorn aura should only work for Reaver and not allies>>> --137.45.77.10 23:12, 12 October 2009 (MDT)

Wording - <<<4>>>/5 I give this class a <<<4>>> out of 5 because <<<Generally well worded and clear but it would not hurt to be more specific rather than referring to rules elsewhere>>> --137.45.77.10 23:12, 12 October 2009 (MDT)

Formatting - <<<5>>>/5 I give this class a <<<5>>> out of 5 because <<<It is very well formatted and I see no conflicts with standard DnD rules that might occur>>> --137.45.77.10 23:12, 12 October 2009 (MDT)

Power - <<<3.5>>>/5 I give this class a <<<3.5>>> out of 5 because <<<in the late game, a reaver with a magical scythe would be too overpowered between having 4 attacks, all of his damage, and a huge critical strike range at a x4 bonus. the final 3d6 to 4d8 change was a hair too much.>>> --~~~~

Wording - <<<4>>>/5 I give this class a <<<4>>> out of 5 because <<<it was generally clear and to the point. Not worded as well as a book, but I cannot complain.>>> --~~~~

Formatting - <<<5>>>/5 I give this class a <<<5>>> out of 5 because <<>> --~~~~

Flavor - <<<4.5>>>/5 I give this class a <<<4.5>>> out of 5 because <<<it was overall well done and composed well, with only a few minor tweaks it would be very playable.>>> --~~~~

Rating

Balance - 1/5 I give this class a 1 out of 5 because it's clearly overpowered with its ability to steal souls (level 6, really?!) and adding negative energy damage to its base attacks, also at a very low level. High Attack bonus + spells + damage reduction + many nasty stuff = way too much, especially for a class that was meant to be a basic one. --~~~~

Wording - 3/5 I give this class a 3 out of 5 because the text contains some misspelling and the very style is lacking "D&D taste". --~~~~

Formatting - 5/5 I give this class a X out of 5 because formatting is fine. --~~~~

Flavor - 3/5 I give this class a X out of 5 because it both is somehow refreshing (for D&D standards) and fails to deliver the feeling of "dark" and "evil" as promised in the description - those aspects seem forcibly implemented. --~~~~
