Talk:Primordial Spectre (5e Class)
I would like to hear your reasoning as to why this is an entirely separate class from the Planar Sniper instead of "Planar Sniper, Variant" if you don't mind. Itenen (talk) 16:58, 18 December 2018 (MST)
Not entirely sure as to what makes something a variant. Most of the variant classes that I see are just slight offshoots of the original. I Kind of see the Planar Sniper as a Ghost from Starcraft 2 and am trying to make this like the Spectre from that same game. I truly loved your work with the Planar Sniper class and thought it was a truly brilliant idea for a class. I know my world uses primordial beings as a heavy influence so I though of instead of making a true variant I would simply make a class with the similar brilliant concept of the planar sniper just using the primordials instead of the planes. Balance
This class is one of the least balanced things I've seen on this site. It makes you a literal cannon, not glass cannon, just a cannon since you have d10 hit dice, can use medium armor, can always be over 100 ft away from the fight with 0 disadvantages, and also can have true sight and tremor sense both up to 120ft (making it impossible to be snuck up on.) Not to mention the absolutely insane amount of damage it can do by level 6. If done correctly and having 4 attacks hit you can do in one turn, without criting and using the average damage you can do in ONE TURN, 28d8 +16d6 bleeding damage (from the endless rend), or in total 156 damage, BY LEVEL FUCKING 6. This class is soo balanced.
