Talk:Peasant Warrior (3.5e NPC Class)
Balance 8/10
This class is stronger than a commoner, but weaker than a warrior (in BA, saves, and proficiencies). Thus, it is balanced. And while, for flavor purposes, it seems strange to have proficiency with the battleaxe, glaive, and tower shield, the class is as balanced as SRD NPC classes, but is not innovative. --EldritchNumen 03:50, 11 December 2006 (MST)
- Tower shield I'll grant you is weird, but battleaxes are simple to use and not too hard to make, and a glaive originated as a long stick with a knife socketed or tied to the end, so those two make sense for a "militia"-like class which this seems to be simulating. -- Cronocke 16:40, 29 December 2007 (MST)
- I also agree with the tower shield. I could not see a fighting commoner in the middle ages knowing how to use a tower shield, however I also think the heavy flail is a little silly, for the same reasons mentioned above with the tower shield. --Green Dragon 16:27, 5 January 2008 (MST)
- After looking at it again, I've decided to get rid of the tower shield. Now Green Dragon, the reason why I gave the peasant warrior proficiency with the heavy flail because the flail was originally an agricultural tool before it was a weapon, so your average peasant would probably use it in his/her daily routine and as an improvised weapon during a war/revolt/attack/etc. --Pirate-Sorcerer 23:25, 5 January 2008 (MST)

Peasant Warrior?
this class should be renamed "militia" --Xdeletedx 13:45, 27 February 2008 (MST)
Skill Points
Looking at this class, its pretty good NPC class, but only 2 + int modifier skill points? seeing how this is a peasant, I would figure most likely farming, so if you think a bout it they have to have skill to do their job. I would suggest 4 + int modifier.
Rating
Power - 5/5 I give this class a 5 out of 5 because I think it pretty much perfectly reflects the soldier one step behind the warrior, which is what I think you are going for here. --Connery55 13:51, 18 July 2009 (MDT)
Wording - 5/5 I give this class a 5 out of 5 because there wasn't much to rate, but you didn't make any mistakes. --Connery55 13:51, 18 July 2009 (MDT)

Flavor - 5/5 I give this class a 5 out of 5 because see wording. NPC classes usually don't have more than this does. --Connery55 13:51, 18 July 2009 (MDT)
