Talk:Nymph (5e Race)

Sinsation, can you please explain why you are continuing to undo my edits to this page? Before I edited it, the race was broken - as in, it didn't work. Your version of Blinding Beauty seems like a passive ability, which is overpowered for something that inflicts such a debilitating effect as blindness. My version of it requires an action, making a nymph give up other options on her turn to use that ability. You also seem to want Trance - while giving the nymph Trance wouldn't be unbalancing, to me Trance feels associated more with elves than fey as a whole, since the other "fey-like" race we got for 5e, the firbolg, doesn't have it, and to my knowledge fey didn't have Trance like the elf did in previous editions. I also don't want them to be able to use a shield for their innate AC because nymphs will usually pick a Cha-based class. I'd rather they didn't get a boost to both Dex and Wis, though if you want a dex boost that badly we could give a nymph PC a choice between a wis boost or a dex boost. — Geodude671 (talk | contribs | email)‎ . . 11:25, 15 October 2017 (MDT)

Musicus Rating

Musicus Meter
Score: 6.5-7
This race has a score of 6.5-7 according to the Musicus Meter race guidelines. With this metric, first-party races' scores range from 4.5 to 8. This is a guideline, not a rule, and it's important to use your own judgment alongside this scoring.
This scoring may be the groundwork for a focused {{needsbalance}} usage. A contributor to this page may request a detailed breakdown of this page's balance. Without this information, {{needsbalance}} may then be removed. This meter cannot be the sole basis for a needsbalance template, but may be included as an accessory to a wider discussion of a race's balance.
This template should only be placed on a race's talk page. If this template is not placed on the talk page, please move it.

gollark: At worst it would probably severely damage it.
gollark: A giant space rock would be very hard-pressed to destroy the Earth.
gollark: Depends on what you consider "die", but it will probably involve the sun doing things.
gollark: I mean, outside-view-ishly, life on Earth has existed for several billion years, so the probability (without knowing anything else) of it randomly stopping over the course of some arbitrary thousand or so is... not high.
gollark: > There's nothing that says that life on earth will go on forever. That the environment will not self destruct via CO2 and warming, or any other method.???
