Talk:Minotaur (5e Race Variant)

...'s too good. First, I'd remove either darkvision or the horns. Second, I'd knock down the subrace ability score to 1. Third, Baphomet's Exiles are significantly more powerful than they should be. I would remove one of their three abilities, make Abyssal Vitality a once-per-long-rest deal, and give them at least one disadvantage to compensate. --SpectralTime (talk) 17:04, 12 September 2015 (MDT)

I agree, OP. the gore charge combo is broken, put it on a barbarian with rage. I'd change charge to a double your proficiency bonus instead of the extra 1d8.-surreysmith june 2016

I'm not sure how the charge with a rage is broken, could you give me the details? Marasmusine (talk) 08:36, 9 June 2016 (MDT)

To many stat bonuses

New Question: Is there a minotaur like race, except smaller? User: D&DAmateur

Yes. Guildmaster's Guide to Ravnica has the official minotaur race. It is Medium size, as WotC's stance on Large PCs is that won't have them. If you are seeking size Small, I do not believe there is one for homebrew.   ~BigShotFancyMan   talk   06:54, 7 November 2019 (MST)
Well that sucks, I was hoping for a Mini-Minotaur-like Barbarian after all a Barbarian is something I am NOT looking forward to playing as, even though I have played as most of the races EXCEPT for a Barbarian, Sorcerer, and Fighter.
T-those are classes...are you looking for a small, barbaric race to partner with a class?   ~BigShotFancyMan   talk   09:51, 7 November 2019 (MST)
Honestly yes, as I usually play support roles and not attacking roles, but I do want a class to match those 3. D&DAmateur
Well, any race can be roleplayed in a barbaric manner. Just a gruff, uncivilized attitude. If you wanna mix the Sorc and Fighter elements, you could look at the College of Swords for a bard. Maybe multiclass bard and barbarian if you really desire that rage feature. A common thing on the site is too have every feature baked into a class and that just creates upsurd power over core classes. Barbarian and Fighter really aren't too different either. Both are martial classes, just different flavor but it is flavor you can roleplay.   ~BigShotFancyMan   talk   10:41, 7 November 2019 (MST)
Oh yeah, you can sign your posts by typing four tildes (~) at the end like so ~~~~, or there is a button after the "I", has an "x" and scribbles. If you hover it, it says it adds a signature and timestamp. You can click it.   ~BigShotFancyMan   talk   10:44, 7 November 2019 (MST)
That would be good, except my DM/GM HATES multi-classing, so a singular race and class would be more beneficial. Maybe something that increases Str. for a Barbarian or Fighter, or Charisma for a Sorcerer. D&DAmateur (talk) 10:55, 7 November 2019 (MST)

I would figure Minotaur would be able to speak Abyssal.--Redrum 18:35, 2 May 2018 (MDT)

gollark: This post made by intel HD 620 graphics gang, which I guess is technically a GPU but not a dedicated one.
gollark: Imagine having a GPU.
gollark: Unless the macros are just done in software on the computer itself.
gollark: I don't think macro storage is designed for any real security, and presumably the control program on the computer can access them all anyway.
gollark: If you use your *keyboard*, that might expose the macros on it to anyone who can plug it into something.
